The Toronto Police Service would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance in a fraud investigation.
It is reported that:
- on Monday, April 8, 2013, a man and woman attended an art gallery in the Eglinton Avenue West/Caledonia Road area

As a result of tips received, Ronald Yancovich, 51, of Toronto, was arrested on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at 8:15 a.m.
He is charged with:
1) Fraud - over ($5,000)
2) False pretences - over ($5,000)
3) Possession of property obtained by crime - over ($5,000)
Both sets of carpet was recovered.
It is further alleged that, under the guise of an interior designer, he fraudulently obtained additional home decor from another Toronto-area business. These goods were also recovered.
He faces additional charges of:
4) Fraud - under ($5,000)
5) False pretences - under ($5,000)
6) Possession of property obtained by crime - under ($5,000)
He is scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West, in courtroom 301, on Friday, July 12, 2013, at 1 p.m.
Investigators continue to ask the public for their assistance identifying the woman, now classified as a person-of-interest.
Investigators also believe there may be other victims, both defrauded businesses and unsuspecting clients, who are now in possession of property obtained by crime.
