The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an ongoing Break-and-Enter/Assault with a Weapon investigation.
It is alleged that:
- on Monday, October 26, 2015, at approximately 3 a.m., a 34-year-old woman woke to find a man, armed with a knife, in her apartment in the Thorncliffe Park area
- when the woman screamed, he fled
Police obtained security camera images of the man and allegedly identified him as Muhammad Iqbal, 28, of Toronto.
He was arrested on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 and charged with:
1) Break-and-Enter - Commit
2) Forcible Confinement
3) Assault with a Weapon
4) Possession of a Weapon
5) Intimidation
6) Theft - Under ($5000)
He was scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, 9 a.m., courtroom 505.
Police believe there may be other victims.
