The Toronto Police Service has charged an American man with 14 offences arising from the G20 Summit in Toronto in June 2010.
Richard Dean Morano, 22, from Lackawaxen, Pennsylvania, was extradited from the United States on Tuesday, March 5, 2013. He was taken to 23 Division and processed on the outstanding Canada Wide Warrant for G20-related offences and held in custody overnight.
He is scheduled to appear in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West on Wednesday, March 6, 2013.
It is alleged that:
- the accused used a rock to break the windshield of a police car while a police officer was trapped inside
- the accused used a large piece of lumber to smash the window of the American Apparel store at 338 Yonge Street
- the accused, with others, carried a large metal construction fence and used it to smash a large front window of the All Leather store at 399 Yonge Street
- the accused smashed a large glass window at the Tim Hortons at 444 Yonge Street
- the accused used a chair to smash a large glass display window at the Starbucks at 450 Yonge Street
- the accused used a chair to smash a floor-to-ceiling window at the CIBC branch at 790 Bay Street
- the accused, during his criminal conduct, was dressed with his identity disguised

1) three counts of Mischief Endangering Life
2) Assaulting a Police Officer With a Weapon
3) Obstructing a Peace Officer
4) Intimidation of a Justice System Participant by Violence
5) six counts of Mischief Over $5,000
6) Theft Under $5000
7) Disguise with Intent
