The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public's assistance identifying a witness in a re-opened cold case robbery/shooting investigation.
It is reported that:
- on Wednesday, February 25, 2009, two masked men entered the Swap $hop at 1448 Lawrence Avenue East
- the two men were armed with a handgun and a baseball bat
- during the robbery, a struggle ensued with one of the employees
- one of the men shot the employee, causing severe internal injuries to his intestine and spine
