On Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at 4:39 p.m., police responded to a personal injury collision at Finch Avenue East at Markham Road .
It is reported that:
- a 38-year-old man was driving a 2014 Freightliner tractor-trailer, westbound on Finch Avenue East, attempting to make a right turn to proceed northbound on Markham Road
- a 61-year-old woman was in the area of the intersection and was struck by the truck
The pedestrian received fatal injuries and was pronounced at the scene.
