On Thursday, March 5, 2015, at Toronto Police Service headquarters, in the auditorium, I Can Rise Above, in partnership with Toronto Police Service Employment Unit, will be hosting a women’s day conference for 50 female youth from the Toronto area.
The Toronto Police Service will adopt the International 2015 theme, "Make It Happen”, challenging our young women to have a better understanding of themselves and their experiences within today's society.
The morning session will start off with TPS Employment Unit Commander Ms. Ann-Marie Henry welcoming our young women to the event. Various female mentors, community members and a Member of Parliament will be in attendance. The afternoon session will consist of youth participating in an interactive open discussion.
