On Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at 10:30 a.m., in the media gallery at headquarters, Hold Up Staff Inspector Mike Earl will update the media on the investigation into a previously released bank robbery series dubbed the "Well-Dressed Bandit."

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance locating a man wanted in a series of bank robberies throughout the city.

On Thursday, October 23, 2014, at 10:35 a.m., a well-dressed man attended a bank branch in the Rogers Road and Keele Street area.

It is reported that:

- he approached the teller and demanded money

- he indicated he had a gun

- he opened his jacket to reveal a concealed black handgun

- he was given a quantity of money and fled

On Thursday, November 6, 2014, at 10:30 a.m., the same well-dressed man entered a bank branch in the Queens Plate Drive and Highway 27 area.

It is reported that:

-he approached the teller and showed her a hold-up note

- the note demanded money and indicated he had a gun

- other tellers took notice of the man

- he fled the bank having obtained nothing

On Monday, November 10, 2014 at 4:25 p.m., the same man entered a bank branch in the College Street and Grace Street area.

It is reported that:

- he showed the teller a robbery note demanding money

- the note indicated he had a gun

- he took a black handgun out of a carrying case he had

- the teller handed him a quantity of money and he fled

Also on Monday, November 10, 2014, at 4:55 p.m., he walked in to a bank branch in the Bloor Street West and Dovercourt Road area.

It is reported that:

- he retreated to the vestibule where he spoke on his phone

- he then approached the teller and gave her note

- the note indicated he had a gun and demanded a specific amount of money

- he threatened to kill the teller if she did not comply

- the handle of the gun was seen inside the carrying case he had

- he was given a quantity of money and fled

The man is described as white, 5'11"-6'2", 45-60, wearing sunglasses, tan gloves and a hooded jacket. In each robbery, he is carrying a tan-coloured carrying case.

Police are releasing a security camera video with the suspect's photos and are requesting the public's assistance with his identification.

Police believe he is armed and dangerous. If he is located, do not approach him. Call 9-1-1.
The Canadian Bankers Association will announce a reward for information leading to the man's arrest and conviction.
