Project Pressure, Series of search warrants executed, Five people face total of 14 drug-related charges

On Thursday, April 25, 2013, in the early-morning hours, 12 search warrants were executed by the TPS Organized Crime Enforcement Unit, Gun and Gang Task Force, with the assistance of TPS Drug Squad, ETF, Peel Regional Police and Hamilton Police Service.

During April, Project Pressure conducted investigations into the possession and use of firearms throughout the Greater Toronto Area, including Toronto, Hamilton and Mississauga.

On Thursday, April 25, 2013, at 5:30 a.m., a search warrant was executed at an apartment on Legion Road North in Toronto, where three people were arrested.

As a result of the search, it is alleged that:

- large quantities of cocaine, hashish, and cash were seized

Rachel Richards, 18, of Caledon; Jermaine Dunkley, 28, of Toronto; and Damione Williams, 30, all of Toronto, have each been charged with:

1. Possession for the Purpose Cocaine
2. Possession of Cocaine
3. Possession of Hashish (under)

Jermaine Dunkley was additionally charged with Possession of Proceeds of Crime.

A search warrant was also executed at an apartment on Victoria Park Avenue in Toronto.

It is alleged that:

- large quantities of cocaine and cash were seized

Tabi Morant 26, and Tavar Knott, 26, both of Toronto, have each been charged with:

1. Possession for the Purpose Cocaine
2. Possession of Proceeds of Crime

All of the accused appeared in court at Old City Hall on Thursday, April 25, 2013.
