Two seventeen-year-old boys face 14 charges related to four Kijiji Robbery/Theft investigations, Police believe there may be more victims

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of two arrests in a Kijiji Robbery/Theft investigation.

During December 2014, police received calls for several robberies and thefts in the Guildcrest Drive area.

It is alleged that:

- the victims responded to classified ads on the website Kijiji offering a new iPhone

- the victims were requested to meet at an address in the Guildcrest Drive area, usually in the evening

- when the victims arrived, they would be robbed of their belongings by the sellers

- the sellers would use various fake email and internet-generated phone services to contact the victims

On Thursday, December 11, 2014, a 17-year-old boy was arrested and charged with:

1) two counts of Robbery
2) five counts of Theft Under $5000

He was scheduled to appear in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East on Friday, December 12, 2014.

On Monday, January 5, 2015, a 17-year old boy was arrested and charged with:

1) two counts of Robbery
2) five counts of Theft Under $5000

He was scheduled to appear in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East on Tuesday, January 6, 2014.

The names of the Young Persons cannot be released under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Police believe there may be more victims.

Investigators are asking any witnesses or victims who have not come forward to contact police.
