On Monday, January 5, 2015, James Alfred Cooper, 79, was released from prison after serving a 21-year sentence for five counts of Gross Indecency, three counts of Indecent Assault, two counts of Rape, Assault Cause Bodily Harm, Sexual Intercourse with Female under age 14, Buggery, and Sexual Assault.
He is subject to a court order requiring him to abide by numerous conditions, including:
1) report weekly to the Toronto Police Service
2) not to attend any daycare centre, school ground, playground, arcade, public swimming area, or public park
3) have no direct or indirect contact with any person under the age of 16
4) not to enter into any intimate relationship, cohabitation, marriage or common-law relationship, with a person who is the parent or guardian of children under the age of 16, until that person has been identified to the Toronto Police Service
Toronto Police Service Sex Crimes is notifying the public about his release because of his potential to re-offend against children. He will be residing in Toronto.
