On Tuesday, February 26, 2013, members of the Toronto Police Service Sex Crimes Unit, Child Exploitation Section, arrested a man and executed a search warrant at his home.
It is alleged that:
- police seized computer equipment from the accused's home
- the accused used the email address scanlan_james@hotmail.com to distribute child pornography
James Scanlan, 57, of Toronto, has been charged with:
1) Possession of Child Pornography
2) Accessing Child Pornography
3) Make Child Pornography
4) Distribute Child Pornography
He appeared in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Wednesday, February 27, 2013, 10 a.m., room 306.
