The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public's assistance identifying a man and a woman in an investigation into a taxi Robbery.
On Sunday, October 12, 2014, a taxi driver picked up a man and woman to drop them off in the Yonge Street and Elm Street area.
It is reported that:
- the taxi took them to their destination
- the couple disputed the fare and the man got out of the cab
- he then demanded money as he pounded on the driver's window
- he threatened to harm the driver
- the woman took money out of the driver's console as he was distracted
- the driver turned over more money to the man
- the couple fled into a building
The man is described as white, 5'8", 150 lbs., brown hair shaved on sides and longer on top, scruffy face with a thin build.
The woman is described as white, 5'6", 120 lbs., long black hair, medium build.
Police are now releasing security camera images of the man and woman.
