On Sunday, April 21, 2013, the Toronto Yonge Street 10K Run will take place. The organizers of this event are expecting approximately 7,000 runners to participate. The run will start forming up on Yonge Street at approximately 6 a.m. and, at 9 a.m., will proceed over the following route:
Full road closures:
Formation Area Set Up: 6 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Yonge Street, from Lawrence Avenue to Erskine Avenue
Disbursal Area: 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Westbound Fort York Boulevard, from Bathurst Street to Fleet Street
Race starting over the following route at 9 a.m.
Full road closures: starting at 8:45 a.m. as follows:
- South on Yonge Street, from Erskine Avenue to Richmond St
- West on Richmond Street, from Yonge Street to Peter Street
- South on Peter Street/Blue Jays Way to Front Street
- West on Front Street, from Blue Jays Way to Bathurst Street
- South on Bathurst Street to Fort York Boulevard, closure from King Street to Lakeshore Boulevard
- West on Fort York Boulevard, from Bathurst Street to Fleet Street
- Finish line on Fort York Boulevard, north of Fleet Street
As part of this run, the Yonge Street 97-320 bus will be diverted.
During the Formation Area set-up, from 6 a.m to 11 a.m., buses operating on Yonge Street will be diverted in both directions using the following streets:

East on Eglinton Avenue
North on Mount Pleasant Avenue
West on Lawrence Avenue
North on Yonge Street
Southbound:
South on Yonge Street
East on Lawrence Avenue

At 8:45 a.m., Yonge Street will be closed to all traffic between King Street and Eglinton Avenue. During this time, buses operating on Yonge Street will be diverted in both directions using the following streets:
