Man faces two charges in Robbery investigation, Cori Siu, 22, Update, more victims located, New Robbery charges added

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in two robbery investigations.

See previous release.

Investigators have laid more charges in relation to two more unrelated robberies.

On Monday, September 15, 2014, at 6:17 p.m., a woman, 54, was assisting her mother with her groceries in the Queen Street West and John Street area.

It is alleged that:

- she was approached by a man

- he grabbed her purse and ran

- she ran after him

- he grabbed her by the jacket, forcing her to the ground

- she yelled for help

- citizens came to her aid, scaring him off

- he fled on bicycle

On Saturday, September 20, 2014, at 11:05 a.m., a woman, 74, was walking in the laneway behind Spadina Avenue and Grange Avenue area.

It is alleged that:

- a man approached her from behind

- he pushed her and grabbed her purse

- he fled the scene in an unknown direction

Cori Siu, 22, of Toronto, is now additionally charged with:

1) two counts of Robbery

He was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, court room 101, on Friday, October 17, 2014, at 10 a.m.

Police believe there may be more victims.
