On Saturday, October 11, 2014, at 10:26 a.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision at Lawrence Avenue West and William R. Allen Road.
It is reported that:
- a 65-year-old woman was attempting to cross Lawrence Avenue West, from the north side to the south side, on the west side of the intersection
− a 34-year-old man was driving a TTC bus, exiting the Lawrence Avenue West station, turning left to proceed westbound on Lawrence Avenue West
− as the woman attempted to cross Lawrence Avenue West in the crossover area, she was struck by the bus
The woman suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced at the scene.
