On Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at approximately 1:20 a.m., police responded to a call for a shooting in the Cataraqui Crescent and Warden Avenue area.
It is alleged that:
- two men discharged several rounds of ammunition from a rifle into a residence
- several of the rounds entered the residence, striking the front door, windows, interior walls and furniture
- there were several occupants inside the residence at the time
On Friday, October 10, 2014, Tevyn Rodney, 20, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:
1) Discharge Firearm with Intent to Endanger Life
2) Mischief Under $5000
3) Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
4) Careless Use of a Firearm
Police are seeking the public's assistance locating Justin Mohammed, 19, of Toronto. He is wanted for:
1) Discharge Firearm with Intent to Endanger Life
2) Mischief Under $5000
3) Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
4) Careless Use of a Firearm
He is described as brown, light complexion, 5'8", slim build and has long, dark-brown/black hair.
He is believed to be in possession of a firearm and is considered to be armed and dangerous. If he is seen, police are advising the public not to approach him, but to call 9-1-1 and provide his location.
