Homicide #43/2014, and #44/2014, Zaid Athir Youssef, 17, and Michael Menjivar, 15, Police request the public's assistance identifying Persons Of Interest, Images Released

On Monday, October 6, 2014, just after 12:30 p.m., police responded to a call for the sound of gunshots in front of the School of Experiential Learning, located at 40 McArthur Street.

Officers arrived to find two young people suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers commenced CPR and First Aid until paramedics arrived. Both succumbed to their injuries.

They have been identified as Zaid Athir Youssef, 17, of Toronto, and Michael Menjivar, 15, of Toronto.

Homicide investigators have identified persons of interest and are seeking the public's assistance in identifying them.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or the persons of interest themselves to contact Homicide Detective Sergeant Peter Trimble at 416-808-7400 extension 77394.
