On Monday, October 6, 2014, just after 12:30 p.m., police responded to a call for the Sound of Gunshots in front of the School of Experiential Learning, 40 McArthur Street.
Officers arrived to find 2 young people suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers commenced CPR and First Aid until paramedics arrived. Both succumbed to their injuries.
The names of the 2 individuals have been withheld pending notification of family.
Homicide investigators have taken over the investigation and a search for the suspects responsible for these murders has begun.
Homicide investigators are requesting anyone who may have seen or heard anything relating to this incident to contact police.
