The Toronto Police Service, in collaboration with the City of Toronto Community Crisis Response Program, will be hosting the 2nd Annual Amazing Race on Saturday, September 13, 2014, from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Harbourfront Community Centre, 627 Queen's Quay West.

Amazing Race is focused on strengthening the relationships and methods of engagement between the Toronto Police Service and youth. It will also provide an opportunity for youth to explore and learn more about community policing, build on existing relationships with the Toronto Police Service and multiple community organizations such as Toronto Community Housing, Dixon Hall, Ralph Thornton Centre, Jimmie Simpson CC and Lawrence Heights CC within the Central Region.

Youth teams working with youth workers and their local neighbourhood officers will explore various locations within the downtown core, including City Hall and complete challenges before they reach their final destination.

The following Divisions will be participating in the Amazing Race: 32, 51, 53, and 55.

The Amazing Race starts at the Harbourfront Community Centre at 10 a.m., and ends at Police Headquarters at 4 p.m., with greetings from Deputy Chief Peter Sloly and members of the community.
