On Friday, September 12, 2014, at approximately 8:50 a.m., the Toronto Police Service received a call for a suspicious incident in the Invergordon Avenue and Thistlewaite Crescent area.
It is reported that:
- a nine-year-old girl was walking to school, when a man in a parked blue Mazda vehicle called out to her
- the girl ignored the man and continued to walk along Invergordon Avenue
- the man exited his vehicle and approached the girl
- he grabbed her arm and tried to pull her back to his vehicle
- the girl was able to break the man's hold and ran to school
The man is described as brown, 50-65, 5'9"-5'10", black hair and a goatee. He was wearing a long-sleeve shirt with a short-sleeve blue T-shirt over top, blue jeans and grey "Croc" shoes.
He was driving a blue four-door Mazda with rust around the wheels.
