On Saturday, August 30, 2014, at 1:08 a.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision at Bathurst Street, south of St. Clair Avenue West.
It is reported that:
- a 16-year-old girl was a passenger in a taxi that was northbound on Bathurst Street, south of St. Clair Avenue West
- the taxi had pulled over and come to a stop in the northbound curb lane
- the girl then exited the taxi on the driver's side and attempted to cross Bathurst Street in a southwesterly direction
- a 20-year-old woman was driving a 2002 Toyota Camry, southbound on Bathurst Street, in the passing lane
- the girl was struck by the Toyota as she attempted to cross the street
The girl was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
