In a news conference at police headquarters, Chief William Blair and 53 Division Superintendent Scott Gilbert provided details on Project Yellowbird, which culminated in a number of arrests and the seizure of very significant amounts of property, in the early hours of this morning.
The project was aimed at a number of people police allege targeted high-value homes, stole jewelry, electronics and luxury accessories, as well as associated high-value vehicles.
It is conservatively estimated that the value of recovered vehicles and property could exceed $5 million.
