The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public's assistance with an assault investigation.
On Sunday, March 30, 2014, several young people were buying hot dogs from a street vendor at approximately 3 a.m., after a night out. This was in the John Street and Front Street West area.
It is reported that:
- a large group of men approached the young people
- there was a verbal confrontation
- the men began kicking and punching the young people, causing serious injuries
- they then fled in various directions
The men can be described as having olive skin and in their early twenties. One of them was wearing a white shirt and white pants, with a distinctive "faux-hawk" hair style. He was also driving what is believed to be a white, four-door 2004-2008 Mercedes CLS.
Surveillance video of the attack has now been released.
