Fatal collision #24/2014, Kennedy Road and Bonis Avenue

On Saturday, August 16, 2014. at 5:05 a.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision at Kennedy Road and Bonis Avenue.

It is reported that:

- an 86-year-old man was attempting to cross Kennedy Road, from the east side to the west side on the north side of the intersection, using the crosswalk

- a dark-coloured vehicle was eastbound on Bonis Avenue and turned left to go northbound on Kennedy Road

- the 86-year-old man was struck by the vehicle

He was taken to hospital for treatment and succumbed to his injuries on Monday, August 25, 2014.

Police would like to speak with the person who followed the dark-coloured vehicle immediately after the collision, as well as the person who did not remain on scene to give a statement to police.
