Arrest in Bank Robbery investigation,

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a Bank Robbery investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Thursday, July 31, 2014 a man attended the bank in the Yonge Street and St. Clair Avenue area

- on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, a man attended the bank in the Bloor Street West and Bathurst Street
area

- he approached a teller and produced a note demanding money

- he stated that he had a gun although none was produced

- he was given a quantity of money and he fled

- on Thursday, August 14, 2014, he was arrested and charged with the two bank robberies

It is further alleged that:

- investigation was able to link him, through forensics, to another Break-and-Enter occurrence

- on Saturday, August 9, 2014, at 7:10 a.m., a man broke into the Rogers store in the Yonge Street/Macpherson Street area

- he broke into the store

- two Apple tablet computers were taken

- he was captured on store security cameras

Danniel Ferguson, 28, of Toronto, now faces the following charges:

1) two counts of Robbery
2) Use Imitation Firearm in the Commission of an Offense
3) two counts of Fail to Comply - Probation
4) tow counts of Break and Enter

He appeared in court at Old City Hall on Friday, August 15, 2014, 10 a.m., courtroom 101.
