Police request public assistance with Extortion/Robbery investigation, Alhaji Kabba, 18

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance locating a man wanted in an Extortion/Robbery investigation.

On Monday, July 14, 2014, a man, 18, accompanied by three friends, responded to a Kijiji ad, in the Jane Street and Grandravine Drive area, in relation to a car for sale.

It is alleged that:

- they met a man in an underground garage and were shown a car

- they were surrounded by a group of men who appeared suddenly

- a gun was produced and the group of four was robbed of all their belongings

- they were beaten, stripped naked and money was demanded

- they were forcibly held during which time they were again beaten with rocks and threatened by men with a machete and a gun

- they were forced to call friends and family to raise money to secure their release

- they were able to make good their escape four hours later and call police

Alhaji Kabba, 18, of Toronto is wanted for:

1) Robbery with a Firearm
2) Forcible Confinement
3) Extortion
4) Assault with a Weapon
5) Aggravated Assault
6) Fail to Comply Recognizance

He is described as black, 6'1", 180 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. His photograph has been released.

Police warn that, if located, do not approach him. Call 9-1-1 and offiicers will attend. He is considered armed and dangerous.
