On Thursday, July 10, 2014, Hold Up officers arrested and charged a woman and a man in connection with two retail robberies in 11 Division.
It is alleged that:
- on Sunday, January 26, 2014, a woman and man entered a variety and gift store in the Roncesvalles Avenue and Westminster Avenue area
- the woman produced a knife and demanded money
- the man kept watch out front of the store
- they then fled the area with a quantity of cash
It is further alleged that:
- on Friday, May 30, 2014, they entered a restaurant in the Dundas Street West and Bloor Street West area
- the man again kept watch out the front of the restaurant
- the woman approached the counter and presented a hold-up note, demanding money and indicating she had a gun
- they both fled the restaurant with a quantity of cash
Amanda Mullett, 33, of Toronto, has been charged with:
1) two counts of Robbery
Christopher Williams, 40, of Toronto has been charged with:
1) two counts of Robbery
On Friday, July 11, 2014, both appeared in court at College Park.
