The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance with a stabbing investigation.
On Thursday, July 10, 2014, at 2:55 a.m., police responded to a call for an assault with a weapon in the Queen Street East and Broadview Avenue area.
It is reported that:
- two men, 24 and 22, were walking along Queen Street East
- they were approached by another man who asked for a cigarette
- they refused and kept walking
- the man ran up and stabbed one of them in the arm
- he then fled the scene
- this appeared to be an unprovoked attack
The victim was rushed to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect is white, 22-29, 5'7"-5'11", 140 lbs., short hair, prescription eyeglasses with light-coloured frames, white T-shirt with a symbol or writing on the front and a black baseball cap.
