Sexual Assault Alert, Police request assistance with Sexual Assault investigation, Royal York Road and Evans Avenue

The Toronto Police Service is alerting the public to a sexual assault investigation and requesting the public's assistance.

On Saturday, June 7, 2014, at approximately 12 a.m., the Toronto Police Service investigated a report of a break-and-enter and sexual assault in the Royal York Road and Evans Avenue area.

It is reported that:

- a 63-year-old woman was at home

- a man gained access to the home through a window

- once the man was inside, he sexually assaulted the woman

- the man fled the residence

He is described as taller than 5'3", wearing a baseball hat, a bandana covering the lower portion of his face, and possibly a dark long-sleeved jacket or shirt.
