The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance with a Theft Under investigation.
It is reported that:
- on Thursday, May 1, 2014, at approximately 2 p.m., a suspect entered an eyeglass store in the area of Queen Street West and Ossington Avenue
- the suspect distracted staff by requesting to book an eye exam and then proceeded to remove a pair of eyeglasses off the wall display
- he placed the eyeglasses in his jacket pocket and left the store.
He is described as white, 30-35, 6'0"-6'2", 250-300 lbs., heavy build with a pot belly and a goatee. He has short dirty-blonde hair, and a star tattoo on his right hand. He was wearing a tan baseball cap, black denim jacket, grey pants, light-brown construction boots, and a white/blue/maroon geometric design knapsack.
