Two men arrested in Gun and Drugs investigation, Kervon James, 22, and Ryan Barton, 23, Face total of 20 charges

On Tuesday May 13, 2014, it was reported to police that a male was injured after being shot in the leg at McLevin Avenue and Sewells Road.

It is alleged that:

- police apprehended two men running from the scene

- police recovered a loaded .357 Smith & Wesson revolver and ammunition, a Jennings .380 semi-automatic handgun and a quantity of crack cocaine

On Tuesday, May 13, 2014, police arrested Kervon James, 22, of Toronto. He was charged with:

1) Aggravated Assault
2) Use of Firearm during the Commission of an Indictable Offence
3) Discharge firearm with intent to wound endanger life
4) Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
5) Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
6) Possession of Firearm knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
7) Careless Storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device (two counts)
8) Assault Peace Officer (two counts)
9) Possession of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order
10) Fail to Comply with Probation
11) Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of Trafficking C.D.S.A
12) Possession of a Schedule I Substance C.D.S.A.


On Tuesday, May 13, 2014, police arrested Ryan Barton, 23, of Toronto. He was charged with:

1) Aggravated Assault
2) Use of Firearm during the Commission of an Indictable Offence
3) Discharge firearm with intent to wound endanger life
4) Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
5) Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
6) Possession of Firearm knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
7) Careless Storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device

Both men were scheduled to appear in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue east on Wednesday, May 14, 2014.
