The Toronto Police Service is alerting the public to an investigation into an assault in a schoolyard.
It is reported that:
- on Wednesday, April 9, 2014, between 2 and 2:30 p.m., a man went to Duke of Connaught Junior and Senior Public School at 70 Woodfield Road
- he approached a student, an eight-year-old boy, in the schoolyard and grabbed him by the wrist
- the boy was able to get away from the man and ran to a nearby teacher for help
-the man fled the area and was last seen, southbound on Woodfield Road, heading towards Queen Street East.
He is described as in his 60s, white beard, wearing a black toque, grey pullover sweater, blue jeans, and pushing a yellow shopping cart.
Police believe this man may have been involved in other incidents in this area.
