Public Safety Alert, Police request public assistance to identify man wanted in Assault/ Sexual Assault investigation

The Toronto Police Service is alerting the public to an Assault/Sexual Assault investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Sunday, March 30, 2014, at 2 a.m., a woman, 25, exited a TTC bus at Eglinton Avenue West and Scarlett Road

- she saw a man pacing on the northwest corner

- she continued to walk along La Rose Avenue

- the man approached the woman from behind, grabbed her around the neck, and threw her to the ground

- he then fled on foot, westbound on La Rose Avenue, towards Royal York Road

The man is described as white, mid-to-late 20s, 5'8", medium build, with a long thin pointy nose, wearing a black North Face jacket, black pants, and black gloves.

Police believe this man may have been involved in sexual assaults in this area.

Police are advising the public this man is believed to be dangerous. Do not approach him. Call 9-1-1.
