The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance with a bank robbery investigation in the King Street West and Dufferin Street area.
On Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at 4:10 p.m., a bank was held up.
It is reported that:
- a man waited in line for an available teller
- he handed the teller a note indicating he was armed with a gun
- he made a verbal demand for money
- no weapon was seen but his right hand was inside his jacket
- he was given a quantity of cash and left the branch
He is described as brown, 40-50, 5'11", large build, unshaven, speaking with a foreign accent. He was wearing prescription glasses, a brown leather jacket and black toque.
Police are warning the public this man may be armed and dangerous. Do not approach him. Please call 9-1-1.
