On Sunday, March 9, 2014, police responded to a call for a large fight at the Tibetan Canadian Cultural Centre located at 30 Titan Road in the city's west end.

Tenzin Tseten, 22, has been identified as the deceased.
It is reported that:
- revellers had attended the cultural centre to celebrate the Tibetan New Year
- as the night ended, there were still quite a few people lingering outside
- a fight broke out involving 6-12 people
- a number of men attempted to stop the fight, including the deceased
- a male attacker brandished a knife, stabbed the deceased and another male as they tried to intervene
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the fight, or who was at this event, to contact Homicide. Investigators believe witnesses may not know how severe this attack was.
