The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a homicide investigation.
On Thursday, September 24, 2020, at 8:33 p.m., police received a call for a shooting in the Shoreham Drive and Gosford Boulevard area.
It is reported that:
- four people entered the northwest entrance of 89 Gosford Boulevard
- three of them discharged firearms in the direction of six men who had been socializing in the common area, playing dominoes
- police located two men suffering from gunshot wounds
- one man was transported to hospital and one man was pronounced deceased at the scene
- the four people entered a silver 4-door sedan and fled the area
The victim has been identified as Anthony Martin, 57, of Maple.
It is further alleged that:
- the same four people are responsible for a discharge firearm occurrence that occurred on Thursday, September 24, 2020, at 6:10 p.m., in the Driftwood Avenue and Jane Street area
Two of the individuals appear to be tall and thin in build while a third is significantly larger in build than the first two.
An abandoned 2020 Toyota Corolla was located by police on Friday, September 25, 2020, in the Jane Street and Sheppard area. Investigators strongly believe this vehicle is associated to these events.
