The Toronto Police Service Hold Up Squad would like to make the public aware of an arrest in relation to a retail robbery that occurred in the Kingston Road and St. Clair Avenue East area.
It is alleged that:
- on Sunday, March 1, 2020, a retail store robbery was committed in Toronto
- the suspect entered the store while concealing his identity with a mask and gloves and made a demand for cash
- the suspect was armed with a sword
- the suspect took $70 from the register
- the suspect was then observed fleeing the area on foot
Hold Up Squad investigators determined the identity of a man. He was located and arrested. Evidence believed to be related to the crime was seized during the arrest.
Keith Pelletier, 40, of Toronto, was charged with:
1. Robbery with an Offensive Weapon
2. Disguise with Intent
3. Weapons Dangerous
He appeared in court for a Bail Hearing at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East, on Monday, March 2, 2020, 10 a.m., room 412.
