The Toronto Police Service Hold Up Squad would like to make the public aware of two men arrested in relation to a retail robbery that occurred in the Albion Road and Martin Grove Road area.
It is alleged that:
- on Sunday, March 1, 2020, a retail store robbery was committed in Toronto
- the suspects entered the store while concealing their identities with masks and made demands for cash and tobacco products
- both suspects were armed with handguns
- Police officers arrived on scene and arrested the suspects while they were still inside the store
Divisional officers attended the store and located both suspects who were still inside.
The officers arrested both men and evidence related to the crime was seized during the arrest.
Abdul-Azeez Adekunle, 21, and Devonte Cooper, 20, both of Toronto, have each been charged with:
1. Robbery with a Firearm
2. Disguise with Intent
They appeared in court for a Bail Hearing at Old City Hall on Monday, March 2, 2020, at 10 a.m., room 101.
