Man arrested for two retail robberies, Michael Bonanno, 27, faces four counts

The Toronto Police Service Hold Up Squad would like to make the public aware of an arrest made in relation to two retail robberies.

It is alleged that:

- on Saturday, February 8, 2020, and Saturday, February 15, 2020, a man entered a retail store, approached the checkout counter, and made a threatening demand for cash

- the man then gained access to the cash register and removed a quantity of cash before fleeing on foot

Following an investigation, on Monday, February 25, 2020, the Hold Up Squad identified and arrested Michael Bonanno, 27, of Toronto.

He is charged with:

1) two counts of Robbery
2) two counts of Fail to Comply with Release Order

He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, February 25, 2020, at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East, in courtroom 412, at 10 a.m.
