The Toronto Police Service would like to advise the public of an arrest in connection with an armed robbery investigation.
It is alleged that:
- on Sunday, December 22, 2013, at approximately 1 p.m., a man went to the pharmacy counter at the Shoppers Drug Mart at 2050 Queen Street East
- while at the counter, he put is hand inside his jacket, indicating that he was armed
- he demanded narcotics and threatened to shoot the staff working in the store
- he was given a quantity of narcotics, then attempted to flee
- while fleeing the premises, he was apprehended by citizens and held for police
- during a struggle with the citizens, he dropped a knife
- officers located a second knife on the man after his arrest
Adam Price, 27, was arrested and faces the following charges:
1. two counts of Robbery
2. Disguise with Intent
3. three counts of Threaten Bodily Harm
4. Carry Concealed Weapon
5. Weapons Dangerous
6. Fail to Comply Probation
He was scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Monday, December 23, 2013 at 10 a.m.
