On December 10, 2013, the Toronto Police Service Hold Up Squad, in conjunction with Canadian Bankers Association and Toronto Crime Stoppers, held a press conference asking for assistance identifying 12 outstanding bank robbery suspects in the GTA.

Due to the extensive media coverage and public assistance, the Hold Up Squad has arrested two men, dubbed the "Blue Eyed Bandit" and the "Bent Brim Bandit."
It is alleged that:
- on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at 10:25 a.m., a man entered the CIBC at 2340 Finch Avenue West
- he approached the teller and handed over a note indicating a hold up and that he was armed with a gun
- he was given a quantity of money and he took back the note

On Monday, December 16, 2013, Pablo Reinoso, 49, of Toronto, was charged with:
1. Robbery
He was scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Tuesday, December 17, 2013, 10 a.m.
It is alleged that:
- on Thursday, October 7, 2010, a man entered the TD Canada Trust branch at 689 Evans Avenue, waited in line and approached a teller when it was his turn
- he placed a note on the counter which indicated he was armed with a gun and demanded a quantity of money
- he received the money and walked out the front doors, no weapon was seen

On Thursday, December 12, 2013, James Getty, 43, of Toronto, was charged with:
1. Robbery
He appeared in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West on Friday, December 13, 2013.
There remain 10 suspects outstanding in various robbery investigations.
