The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of an arrest made in a drug trafficking investigation.
On Monday, February 11, 2019, police conducted a vehicle stop in the Gordon Baker Road and Victoria Park Avenue area.
Two men were arrested and it is alleged that a loaded handgun, a quantity of cocaine and fentanyl were located in the vehicle.
Christopher Reyes, 24, of Toronto, has been charged with:
1. Two counts of Possess Schedule I Substance for Trafficking
2. Possession of Proceeds of Crime
3. Possess Firearm while Prohibited
4. Three counts of Possess Prohibited Device knowing no Authority
5. Breach of Probation Order
6. Possess Counterfeit Money
7. Possess Restricted Firearm without Holding a Licence and Registration Certificate
8. Possess Restricted Firearm Knowingly not Holding a Licence and Registration Certificate
9. Occupy Motor Vehicle with Firearm
10. Possess Loaded Regulated Firearm
11. Possess Prohibited Device knowing no Authority
12. Transport Firearm Carelessly
13. Store Firearm Carelessly
14. Possess Firearm Obtained by Crime
Ryan Chin, 27, of, Toronto has been charged with:
1. Possess Schedule I Substance for Trafficking
2. Possession of Proceeds of Crime
They were both scheduled to appear in court, at Old City Hall, on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at 10 a.m., in room 101.
