Fatal Collision #5/2019, 155 University Avenue, Victim Identified to Locate Next of Kin

On Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at 5:55 a.m., police received a report of a collision at 155 University Avenue.

It is reported that:

- a 19-year-old man was operating a garbage truck and was reversing into a laneway at 155 University Avenue

- while reversing, the driver struck a 58-year-old woman

- the woman succumbed to her injuries sustained at the scene

The investigation is ongoing by members of Traffic Services. Investigators have attempted to notify the victims next of kin without success.

The woman's identity is being released to the public in hopes that it will lead to a friend or family member to come forward.

Hang Vo, 58, of no fixed address is described as 5'6", 120 lbs., with brown eyes. She is known to utilize various shelters in Toronto.

In addition, police are asking local residents, business, and drivers, who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.
