On Friday, November 8, 2013 at 7:28 a.m., police responded to a personal injury collision at Lawrence Avenue East at Bennett Road.
It is reported that:
- a 27-year-old man was attempting to cross Lawrence Avenue East at Bennett Road, in the west crosswalk, from the north side to the south side of Lawrence Avenue East
- a 38-year-old man was driving a 2011 Nissan Versa, northbound on Bennett Road, turning left to westbound Lawrence Avenue West
- the pedestrian was struck by the vehicle
The man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. On Wednesday, November 13, 2013, he died of his injuries.
