The Toronto Police Service responded to a shooting call on Sunday, September 22, 2013, at 2:30 a.m., at the Empire nightclub at 50 Cumberland Street.
Police responded to the address and found people running from the area. Some people were located at the scene with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, while others attended hospital on their own.
Five people sustained injuries and were treated in hospital, all with non-life- threatening injuries.
It is alleged that:
- a man was located nearby with a loaded firearm
A 26-year-old man, of Toronto, has been charged with a number of firearm offences.

He is scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Monday, September 23, 2013, at 10 a.m.
The investigation is ongoing. Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have been injured in this shooting to seek medical treatment and contact police with any information.
