The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of an arrest made in a Child Luring investigation.
On Monday, March 5, 2018, officers began an investigation involving allegations of Child Luring on Snapchat.
It is alleged that:
- in June 2017, a man befriended a 13-year-old girl on Snapchat
- they communicated for a few months
- they met in October 2017, where the man took the girl to his home
- he sexually assaulted her
On Wednesday, March 7, 2018, Donson Redhead, 24, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:
1) Luring a Child
2) Sexual Interference
3) Sexual Assault
He appeared in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West on Thursday, March 8, 2018, at 10 a.m., in room 204.
He used the name "Peso" in his communications.
Police believe there may be other victims.
