Woman, 34, charged in Attempt Murder investigation, Evans Avenue and Sherway Gate area

The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of an arrest in an Attempt Murder investigation.

On Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at 8:35 a.m., officers responded to a call for an Unknown Trouble in the Evans Avenue and Sherway Gate area.

It is alleged that:

- a man, woman and baby were in an apartment

- the man and woman were arguing

- the woman made threats while holding a knife

- she injured the man and baby

- the man fled the apartment with the baby to seek help

Officers attended the scene and found a four-month-old baby with serious injuries. The baby was taken to hospital.

A woman, 34, of Toronto, was arrested. She is charged with:

1) Attempt Murder
2) two counts of Utter Death Threats
3) Assault Cause Bodily Harm
4) Assault with a Weapon

She is scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Thursday, December 14, 2017, 10 a.m., room 507.

The man's injuries are considered minor. The baby remains in critical condition in hospital.
