Robert Ratcliffe, 54, charged in child sexual abuse material investigation, Man's photograph released

On Thursday, October 19, 2017, members of Toronto Police Service Sex Crimes Child Exploitation executed a search warrant in the Westney Road and Ravenscroft Road area of Ajax.

It is alleged that:

- a man placed an ad online looking to facilitate sexual acts with persons

- he chatted online with someone in order to make arrangements to commit sexual acts on a child

- during these chats, he sent images of child sexual abuse material

Robert Ratcliffe, 54, of Ajax, was arrested and charged with:

1) Possession of Child Pornography
2) Access Child Pornography
3) Make Available Child Pornography
4) Distribute Child Pornography
5) Make Child Pornography
6) Make an Arrangement to Commit Sexual Interference

Police believe that, through volunteer work, he has had close association with children since 2010.

He was scheduled to appear in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East, on Friday, October 20, 2017, 10 a.m., room 412.
