Two boys and 18-year-old man arrested in shooting investigation, Second 18-year-old man wanted, Gavin Patrick Campbell, 18

On Monday, August 12, 2013, at 8:24 p.m., police responded to a call for a shooting at Thorncliffe Park Drive and Overlea Boulevard.

It is alleged that:

- there was an altercation between a 20-year-old man and a group of two men and two boys

- a fight broke out and one of the boys from the group pulled out a handgun, firing numerous shots at the 20-year-old man

- the victim was hit by a single shot in the lower body and collapsed to the ground

- the four suspects fled the area

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

On Wednesday, August 14, 2013, two boys and one 18-year-old man were arrested and each charged with:

1) Attempted Murder
2) Attempted Murder using a Firearm
3) Pointing a firearm
4) Discharge firearm endanger life
5) Careless use of a firearm
6) Unauthorized possession of a firearm
7) Attempted murder while using certain firearm
8) Weapons Dangerous
9) Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
10) Possession of firearm contrary to prohibition order

The names of the young persons cannot be released under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Gavin Patrick Campbell, 18, of Toronto, is wanted for:

1) Attempted Murder

He is considered armed and dangerous. If you locate him, do not approach. Call 9-1-1.
