On Wednesday, August 14, 2013, members of Toronto Police Service's 32 Division will join the Toronto Police Amateur Athletic Association (TPAAA) and KidSport Ontario for the 2013 Playground Games at John Polanyi Collegiate Institute, 640 Lawrence Avenue West.
The Playground Games offer children, who may not normally have the resources to play sports in their community, the opportunity to be physically active, healthy and enjoy being introduced to a variety of sports.
Media are invited to attend the event which will include a 'Parade of Athletes' and various sporting activities for children, aged 6-12, from the local neighbourhood of Lawrence Heights.
